Latex Mattress

The newest trend in mattresses today is all foam or no coil. The best known of these is the Tempurpedic brand of memory foam. Lesser known but equally as supportive is the latex mattress. Many of the larger manufacturers are making latex mattresses now. They give all of the support that a memory foam mattress does yet retain a more traditional mattress feel. If you have ever laid on a memory foam mattress, you will understand what I mean. Memory foam has a dense feel to it. Once you get in and it conforms to your body, it feels great. However, it still has an unusual feel to it.

The latex mattress also offers a extremely reduced motion transfer due to the lack of any coils in the body. All of your support comes from a thick layer of latex foam. Some companies use the Talalay process which have a mixture of natural latex and synthetic. Other companies are using the Dunlop process which is 100% synthetic. Both offer the excellent support needed to get a superior night of sleep.

For those with latex allergies, never fear. The latex is completely covered with luxurious fabrics ranging from cashmere, silk, wool, alpaca and more. The latex will only affect you if you come in direct contact with it.

Some are concerned with the durability of an all foam mattress. This is no concern at all. The latex mattresses should last 20 years or more. They are high grade foams that are tested with hundreds of thousands of compressions to ensure your mattress will stand the test of time.

If you have a sore back or achy joints in the morning, or you arm fall asleep in the middle of the night and you can no longer even feel it, or if you toss and turn all night long, an all foam mattress is the answer to your problems. Now don't buy the cheapest one on the market. You will still need to shop for quality. This means you will probably pay $1700 or more for your new mattress, but it will be the last one you get for at least 20 years.

I have been sleeping on a latex mattress for a few months now and even topped it off with a memory foam pillow. I have never felt better. No moaning or groaning when I get up. No irritability. Just pleasant thoughts and a happy body. Do yourself a favor; drop the cash and invest in a latex mattress. You won't regret it.
